powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance entitles you to free upgrades and priority support...
Upgrade Assurance is optional and suited for customers who want to ensure a continued smooth operation. This page details the features and benefits of powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance.
The customer purchasing Upgrade Assurance is eligible for unlimited free software upgrades (minor and major versions) of powerKNOW. This includes email delivery of new software versions.
New Operating System Versions
KLV GmbH guarantees that the customers who have purchased powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance, will be eligible for new versions of powerKNOW running on new operating system releases and / or service packs within a reasonable amount of time. Typically, new versions of application software are made available at the time of official release date of the new software.
Customers with powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance receive priority over all other support calls. In order to receive priority, customer will specify the Order number with the support call. Please note that Upgrade Assurance does not include phone or dial-in support.
Advance Technical Information
powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance customers receive advance notice of upcoming product releases as well as confirmed bugs. Of course, these customers will be notified immediately whenever a bug fix is available. The notification is via email addressed to a single customer email address (customers without Upgrade Assurance are kindly requested to check our web sites for new releases and fixes).
powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance is typically purchased for a period of three years. It is also available on annual basis. Upon request, we can auto-renew powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance annually. Customers interested in securing a longer period of time can purchase powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance for 5 years in advance.
powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance is very reasonably priced at 20% (1-year Upgrade Assurance), 18% per annum (3-years Upgrade Assurance) or 16% per annum (5-years Upgrade Assurance) of the product list price.
Upgrade Assurance can only be purchased for current product versions. As an example, if a customers has installed powerKNOW version 1.0 and the current version is 3.1, the customer needs to purchase an upgrade to 3.1 before he can purchase powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance.
Communication with the Customer
The customer will name a maximum of 2 persons being authorized to request the benefits of the powerKNOW Upgrade Assurance plan. The customer will also name a single email address for notifications. Of course, the customer can change the contact information at any time without additional charge.

KLV GmbH has created the Upgrade Assurance plan based on customer requests. We have worked on this concept since 1990 on different products. Upgrade Assurance remodels a long term software concept available since mainframe days.
