ToDo List for Knowledge Manager

If a knowledge manager (user with role 'Knowledge Manager') views a document list a knowledge manager installation check list may be displayed. This list is generated to assist the knowledge manager in preparing the powerKNOW database for use.




The list is only viewed as long as the checkbox "No longer show this ToDo-List" is not activated.

The following items to be done can be part of the list:

Define document structure MyStructure The structure for the individual knowledge documents is not yet defined. The knowledge manager has to set up this structure (define what structure texts to use and how to name these texts.

Define users No users have been defined/registered yet (except the initial user). The knowledge manager will have to register the users who shall be allowed to use powerKNOW.

Define keyword tree No keywords have been defined yet. The knowledge manager will have to define keywords within the structured keyword tree for use in categorizing and searching documents.

Create first document No documents are created yet.

Configure email address of knowledge manager Konfigure the eMail address of the knowlegde manager. This will enable users to contact the knowledge manager from the start page.

Set user-password for knowledge managers All registered knowledge managers should have a password. It is a security risk to have users (and especially knowledge managers) logging in without password.

The to do list and checkbox are common to all users with role "knowledge manager". If more than one user is knowledge manager activating the checkbox will turn off the to do list for all knowlegde managers.
