Viewing Documents

This page is used to view a single knowledge document. Access to printing and editing is also provided.

The left part of the dialog contains all the search controls. It is possible to search via keywords (keyword tree), via fulltext or use a combination of both. For details see Search Methods. When you perform a search the right side of the dialog will again show the list of results (see "searching documents" for details).

The right side of the dialog shows the whole knowledge document with all related information. The list of attachments contains links to view a selected attachment.
It can contain a history of the document as well. Whether this history is recorded and shown depends on an configuration option. See 'Document History' for details.

The following options exist:

		Back to result list
		Show a highlighted version of this document This option is only available if the last search done was a fulltext search and the highlighting is currently not shown. In this case the text of the document is shown with all terms matching the fulltext search highlighted.
		Show this document with highlighting turned off This option is only available if highlighting has been turned on before and the highlighting is currently shown.
		A link to the knowledge document currently viewed will be copied to the clipboard. It can then be pasted to other applications (e.g.: eMail). Availability of this option depends on the configuration (See config key: allowCopyLink2Clipboard).
	Alt-P	The document will be prepared in a printable format. It will be shown in a seperate browser window. You can use the "Print" button of your browser to print the contents of this window.
	Alt-E	View this knowledge document in document editor to make changes. This option will only be available if you are an editor or approver (see User Roles for details).
		View the attachment in a separate browser window. (Depending on the type of attachment the browser will need additional software to be installed on the client for presentation)
		View a highlighted version of the attachment in a separate browser window. This option is only available if the last search done was a fulltext search. In this case the raw text of the attachment is shown with all terms matching the fulltext search highlighted.
		Download the attachment to store it on the client. Availability of this option depends on the configuration (See config key: allowAttDownloadInViewer).
