User Roles

Within powerKNOW the following user roles are supported / implemented.

• Editor
  Only editors are allowed to edit / change documents and to mark a document as 'completed'.
  
  
• Expert
  User can be referenced as an expert in knowledge documents.
  
  
• Approver
  Only approvers are allowed to mark a document as 'approved/released', making it available to normal readers.
  
  
• Knowledge Manager
  Only knowledge managers are allowed to change configuration, change users, change keyword tree.
  
  
• Reader
  A reader with no additional rights is allowed to search and read knowledge documents. He will see only documents marked as 'approved'.

Additionally a user can be marked as disabled. Disabled users are not allowed to login and will not have any of the rights normally implied with their respective roles.
