Editing HTML-Text

The HTML-Text-Areas allow the user to enter text and to edit the attributes of the text for highlighting and structuring.

The following attributes can be defined / changed.

Fontsize increase Increase size of font for text selected.
Fontsize reduce Reduce size of font for text selected.
BoldCtl-B Toggle Bold attribute for text selected.
ItalicCtl-I Toggle Italic attribute for text selected.
UnderlineCtl-U Toggle Underline attribute for text selected
Bullet List Make the selected list to members of a bullet list.
Numbered List Make the selected list to members of a numbered list.
Indent Increment indentation by one step.
Undent Decrement indentation by one step.
Hyperlink Insert a hyperlink into the text. If some text is selected, this selected text becomes the presentation text of the hyperlink,
Ruler Insert a horizontal line at the current cursor position.
Remove all formatting Remove all formatting from the selected text.
Undo Ctl-Z Undo the last change
Redo Ctl-Y Redo the last undo

All these attributes are accessible from the toolbar. Where mentioned we also have a keyboard shortcut.

All editing of attributes applies to the selected text. If there is no actual selection 'Indent', 'Undent', 'Bullet List', 'Numbered List' and 'Hyperlink' apply to the current line / current position. Text can be selected as usual with the mouse or with the cursor (moving the cursur keeping the SHIFT-key pressed).

All editing is done at the client side (within the browser) without a server postback.
